English is the official language of the Congress.

Active participants take an active part in scientific sessions by presenting their scientific work; they compete for prizes with other active participants. After the presentation they are awarded with Paper Presentation Certificate. Active participants are free to attend all lectures, workshops and the social programme.

Passive participants may attend all lectures, workshops, the social programme and all scientific sessions during the Congress. During reception at the conference venue they receive Participation Certificates.

All participants register via registration form available through our system. While filling in the form, you must choose the type of participation – passive or active. Registration will be complete, when you receive the confirmation of registration to your email box – make sure the email address you’ve given is correct. If the registration process is successful, your personal account will be ready for you to use.

Active participants should upload their abstracts through our system and submit it for review. After abstract submission you should get confirmation from our system.

The only way for submitting an abstract is through your personal account at our website.  From one account (and one email adress) only one abstract can be submitted. To submit another abstract you should use another email account. Abstracts sent via email will not be taken into consideration.

Remember that uploading the abstract doesn’t equal submitting it. After uploading an abstract to your account, you can modify and correct it, and it’s not officially submitted until you send it for review.

The deadline for submitting an abstract is March 31^th 2023, until 23:59.

No, after the abstract is sent for review you won’t be able to make any changes to its content. Therefore, after uploading and before submitting it make sure to check whether it contains any mistakes.

Our confirmation emails about abstract submission and payment confirmation are not send automatically. Therefore please be patient, it may take us up to a week to confirm it. However, if you registered, submitted an abstract, paid the fee and submitted confirmation of payment and weren’t notified, you should contact us as soon as you can and we will fix things.

Yes, one active participant can present up to two papers.

Any kind of scientific work done by a student of medical university or faculty can be submitted as long as it is original and related to medical sciences.

Review papers will be disqualified.

The maximum number of authors per paper is 3 for Case Reports, 5 for Original Research.

Your tutor can not be listed as an author.

After your online registration you will be asked to upload an abstract of your research and to classify it into one of the given medical fields. Keep in mind, that:

• The abstract cannot be longer 250 words, not including titles and internal titles.
• Only abstracts in the English language will be reviewed.
• Make sure to structure your abstract as follows:
  • For regular abstracts: background, aim, methods, results, conclusions.
  • For case reports: background, case report, conclusions.
• Do not include any graphics (graphs, pictures, grids) in your abstract.
• You will be able to modify and correct your abstract uploaded to your account at our website until you officially submit it for review. The deadline for abstract submission closes on 31^th March 2023, 23:59.
• All qualified abstracts will be published in the 17^th BIMC Book of Abstracts, so make sure yours doesn’t contain any grammar or spelling mistakes.
• DO NOT forget about filling all boxes in abstract submission form.

After the qualification process is complete, you will be notified via email with the results of the qualification. You will be informed about the results no later than April 30^th 2023 until 23:59

The work should be presented by one of its authors.

Regular oral presentation should take 7 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion. Presenter of a case report has 5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion. Please take notice of the time, because your presentation will be interrupted when you exceed the specified time frame.

Yes, all co-authors present at the session can answer questions about their work during discussion.

No, the paper must be presented by only one of the authors.

Yes, but only after discussing this matter with the organizing committee. If there’s going to be someone else presenting your work instead of you, please contact us as soon as you can. Keep in mind, that in this case the Presentation Certificate will include the other person’s name, not yours.

There is only one acceptable form of payment: a money transfer to a bank account of the Students’ Scientific Society of the Medical University of Bialystok. Account number and additional information will be sent to you in abstract acceptance mail.

Unfortunately, there is no such possibility.

Active  and Passive participants must pay the registration fee no later than April 15^th 2023, until 23:59

Active and passive participants will receive Congress materials, book of abstracts, admittance to workshops and lectures, catering, the great gala, integration party and access to all of the sessions.

No, registration fee is charged only once, regardless of the number of accepted papers.
